Project Leader – Landscape Construction

 Job Purpose

  1. Complete high-quality landscape construction projects in a safe, efficient and courteous manner.
  2. Provide ongoing assistance, guidance, training and hands-on direction to project assistants assigned to your projects.
  3. Comply with and ensure compliance by assigned assistants of all company safety and procedural policies.
  4. Maintain all construction-related equipment assigned as required to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  5. Provide quality client relations by recognizing potential problems, meeting client expectations and addressing client concerns in a timely, friendly, courteous and professional manner.
  6. Keep records by completing all documentation as required.
  7. Act as a liaison between clients, project manager and project assistants, maintaining a positive team environment.
  8. Assist grounds maintenance teams as needed.
  9. Assist with snow removal operations to ensure timely, safe, and efficient clearing of all assigned properties and provide assistance to others as needed.
  10. In all aspects of work participate within a culture that emphasizes continued learning and growth. Participate in active training and self-improvement.
  11. In all aspects of work of work participate within a culture that emphasizes safe work habits.
  12. Additional duties as assigned.


Job and Skill Requirements

  • Valid drivers license
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the landscape construction field
  • Ability to operate small engines, excavation equipment, power & hand tools and knowledge of all related safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of landscape construction skills, including interlocking pavers, retaining walls, ponds, gardens, arbours, decks and fences and related safety procedures & equipment.
  • Work well with others
  • Have good oral communication, job task planning, organization, and be able to read and write
  • Excellent knowledge of company safety standards, procedures and policies and adhere to such.
  • Ability to operate snow removal equipment and knowledge of all related maintenance and safety procedures.
  • Adhere to company dress code to reflect a neat and professional image.
  • Embrace a culture of continuous learning

 

 

 

 


Horticultural Technician – Grounds Maintenance

 Job Purpose

  1.  Accomplish quality grounds maintenance by supervising and co-ordinating safe and efficient activities of assistants who perform lawn and garden maintenance using power mower, grass and hedge trimmers and other landscape maintenance equipment.
  2. Maintain landscape environments by cutting lawns, edging, fertilizing, weeding and cultivating gardens, deadheading, pruning shrubs and trees, and pesticide application as required.
  3. Enhance grounds by spreading soil, manure and mulch, aerating, overseeding and planting as required.
  4. Assuring quality client relations by assessing potential problems and improvements and by meeting client requests and concerns in a timely, friendly and courteous manner, as well as, leaving each property clean and maintained before proceeding to next location.
  5. Maintain assigned vehicles and equipment by daily and weekly maintenance and servicing.
  6. Adhering to grounds maintenance schedule by servicing all assigned properties on a weekly basis in a safe and efficient manner, maximizing profitability.
  7. Provide efficient snow removal service by being available, providing safe and damage-free snow removal service in a timely manner.
  8. Keep electronic records and submit daily.
  9. In all aspects of work participate within a culture that emphasizes continued learning and growth. Participate in active training and self-improvement.
  10. In all aspects of work of work participate within a culture that emphasizes safe work habits.
  11. Adhere to the employee training manual.

  4. Assuring quality client relations by assessing potential problems and improvements and by meeting client requests and concerns in a timely, friendly and courteous manner, as well as, leaving each property clean and maintained before proceeding to next location.
